Think of the Greenovation façade as a suspended second skin: panel, moss, substructure, protective mesh. No substrate, no irrigation pipes, no electricity supply — so there is nothing that needs looking after.
The support plate
Each panel is based on a 6 mm aluminium composite panel — weather-resistant, dimensionally stable even under the most extreme conditions and with a virtually unlimited lifespan.
The Moss
It is covered with real, preserved moss treated with special natural substances — patented technology from our manufactory. It requires no water, no fertiliser and no trimming, and retains its colour. We offer a 6-year guarantee on the entire system.
Assembly
Our installation team fits the panels seamlessly side by side onto a specially designed, rear-ventilated substructure — even on existing buildings, without interfering with the building services.
The safety grille
A flexible honeycomb mesh protects the surface from damage caused by birds, storms and hail. From a distance of around two metres, it is invisible — the impression of a naturally grown moss façade remains.

German Design Award 2024 — Excellent Architecture, Eco-Design
The German Design Council presents the German Design Award to recognise pioneering design. Greenovation received the award in 2024 for a façade system that does not pit environmental impact against architectural precision — a system implemented, amongst other projects, in a client project in Munich.

As a guide, we estimate around €850 per m² — all-inclusive, including installation and system assembly. Business customers can opt for a lease instead: the façade is provided at a predictable monthly rate, and the property’s value begins to rise immediately. The planner provides an initial guide to the scale of the project; the binding figures — whether for purchase or leasing instalments — will be determined during consultation.
Germany’s largest moss façade is located in Neu-Ulm
The system on the largest scale: in Neu-Ulm, six car park decks feature a moss façade spanning over 1,600 square metres — the same substructure, the same manual work on the scaffolding, but extending the entire length of the building.
