Who actually makes your Moss wall? A glimpse inside the Oppach manufactory.
27,000 m² of moss and over 2,200 projects a year — all produced in-house, with our own dyeing facility and our own installation team.

The team comprises eleven people in sales worldwide, fifteen in production, four in packaging and dispatch, three in management and two in marketing. Projects are mainly carried out in German-speaking countries, as well as in Spain, France, England, Mallorca and Australia — with a few taking place worldwide.
Five steps, all in-house
Those who buy in moss can fulfil orders. Those who sort, dye, preserve, assemble and fit the moss themselves can accept orders — even for special colours, special shapes and tight deadlines.
Raw moss intake & sorting
The moss is sustainably harvested from European forests and sorted by hand here: by type, size, texture and colour. Anything that isn’t up to standard doesn’t go on the wall — this selection process ultimately determines the final look.

Our own dye works — the heart of our business
We dye the fabric in-house; we do not source it from external suppliers. This is the difference you’ll notice in our projects: we custom-mix the colour for your project rather than selecting from a standard palette — matching it as closely as possible to your corporate identity (CI) colour, and dyeing it through and through using the dip-dyeing process.

Preservation using the Druckpräparation+ process
Our proprietary process replaces the plant sap with a solution of natural salts and glycerine. The colour is then embedded within the material rather than sitting on top of it — which is why we offer a lifetime guarantee on the moss used in our interior products.
Made-to-measure clothing
Every surface is crafted by hand on the panel: cutting the base board to size, applying moss, building up the relief, and finishing the edges. No off-the-shelf dimensions – just your own specifications — including cut-outs for lights, doors and technical installations.

In-house installation team
Installation is carried out by our own staff across Europe. Our biggest installation to date was a royal residence in the United Arab Emirates, which took four weeks on site. Normally, a wall can be erected in a single day.

What can be demonstrated
Fire behaviour
Classified in accordance with DIN EN 13501-1; for projects with specific requirements, we manufacture versions that have been treated accordingly.
Sound absorption
Up to 60% sound absorption in accordance with DIN EN ISO 354 — this evidence should be included in every set of specifications where acoustic requirements are stipulated.
Awards
German Design Award 2024 for the Greenovation façade system, in the ‘Excellent Architecture – Eco Design’ category, and Winner 2026 for HeavensBreeze.
Warranty
Lifetime guarantee on the moss used in the interior products; six years’ guarantee on the entire Greenovation system for outdoor use.
Four projects, which show the frame
Hotel Amonti & Lunaris, South Tyrol
60 m² of Pole Moss & Bun Moss in the lobby of a five-star hotel — the first major project in 2018 and still one of our flagship projects today.
Cologne/Bonn Airport
A 120 m² living wall and jungle wall: large-scale, in a public space, meeting the requirements of an airport.
Bechtle AG car park, Neu-Ulm
A 1,635.49 m² moss façade spanning six car park decks — the largest exterior surface we have ever constructed.
Royal Palace, United Arab Emirates
Our biggest installation to date: four weeks on site with our own team.

Projects in your area are shown by the MOOSMOOS Map, the selection of works that References. The story of how the workshop in Oppach became a manufactory is told in the Chronicle.
For Tendering & Planning
Planners receive the documents as a single package: technical description, specifications and tender documents, measurement report in accordance with DIN EN ISO 354, CO₂ documentation and reference projects. On request, we can assist with the drafting — in a product-neutral manner to ensure the tender process remains fair.
What a procurer ask first
Do you make things yourself or do you sell them?
We manufacture everything ourselves. Sorting, dyeing, preservation, finishing and assembly all take place in-house at our site in Oppach in Oberlausitz — which is why we can manage colour shades, custom shapes and deadlines on a project-by-project basis, rather than having to make enquiries with suppliers.
Where does the moss come from?
From sustainable harvesting in European forests. The wood is harvested with care to allow the areas to regrow; it is processed without the use of animal products or pesticides. The species and their origins are listed in the Encyclopaedia of Mosses in detail.
Do you also carry out the installation?
Yes, with our own team and across Europe. Smaller installations are delivered ready to fit, whilst we take full responsibility for large surfaces and ceiling installations — usually completing one wall a day, without any disruption on site.
Do you also supply to resellers?
Yes. We supply interior landscapers, interior fitters and craft businesses as partners, offering them our own terms and conditions, a sample service and technical documentation. We discuss the details of our collaboration in a face-to-face meeting.
What is your capacity?
Around 27,000 m² of manufactured moss surfaces and between 2,200 and 2,700 projects per year. Large-scale projects are therefore the norm, not the exception — the largest single project in our portfolio is the façade in Neu-Ulm, covering over 1,600 m².
Will I be provided with documentation for the tender?
Yes. The technical specifications, tender documents, measurement report, CO₂ documentation and reference projects are available as a design package. The following also explains how to draw up a product-neutral tender: Guide to Tendering.
