Your Moss wall — handmade, not shop-bought. From idea to wall in four steps.
Handcrafted at the Oppach manufactory from 100% genuine, preserved moss — no watering, no light, no maintenance required.

You can buy a Moss wall directly from the manufacturer — every panel is made to order to your specifications. The process involves four steps: describe what you want, feel the samples, have it made, and install it. Bespoke Moss walls start at around 400 €/m², projects typically cost around 3.000 €. From the idea to the finished wall
Describe your room
Dimensions, intended use, a mobile phone photo — that’s all you need to get started. If you’d rather sort it out yourself, simply answer five questions in the Room Compass and you’ll receive a suggestion before anyone calls.

Moss is something you choose to hold in your hand, not to look at on a screen. The Sample box brings all the different types to your desk — Iceland moss, Flat moss, Pole Moss and combinations of these.
Order a sample box →We produce bespoke items in Oppach
Every wall is handcrafted in our manufactory: deeply dyed moss from our own dye works, preserved using the ‘Druckpräparation+’ process, and mounted on backing boards to your specifications.
The moss species →We deliver and install
Smaller formats are delivered ready for installation, whilst our own team installs larger panels — usually in a single day, without making a mess and without the need for a building site. Throughout Europe.
Completed projects →Which moss? How about this?
Four lines that can be freely combined — in a wall, in a relief, in a colour gradient. These are described in detail in the Encyclopaedia of Mosses before.
the colourIslandmoos
The most vibrantly coloured and softest variety: finely branched, in every shade of green and special colours. For areas that are meant to glow without being too loud.
the areaFlat moss
Tightly woven, even upholstery, like a forest floor. The calm, elegant option — particularly suitable for large, continuous areas.
the sculpturePole Moss & Bun Moss
Soft hemispheres with depth and a play of light and shadow. Three-dimensional, tactile — and most effective when you want to create a quieter atmosphere in the room.
the landscapeThe Moss Mix
Iceland moss, flat moss and Pole Moss in a single composition: highs, lows and colour gradients on a wall — each one unique.
Formats that had never existed before
As each surface is created individually, the dimensions are not simply a matter of choosing from a list: continuous wall surfaces, curves and arches, recesses and projections, ceiling panels, freestanding elements. Surfaces that wrap round doors, light fittings or technical installations are also resolved in the design stage.
Your logo or lettering can be incorporated as an inlay — dyed to a shade close to your corporate identity colour. And where a more subdued look is required, we combine the wall with Room dividers and acoustic elements made from the same material.

Start small?
Not every project starts with an entire wall. Moss Pictures in standard sizes are ready to post and can be ordered straight away — from small sizes up to 300 × 200 cm, in round, oval or heart shapes. If the project expands later on, we’ll scale the wall up accordingly.
„Even after four years, the moss still looks vibrant — the colours are as intense and fresh as ever. It was definitely worth the investment!“
Kevin Kronschläger · Google review · June 2025
„Everything went really well and the quality is perfect. I think the end result speaks for itself.“

What to consider before buying should be clarified
How long does it take for a Moss wall to be delivered?
That depends on the project: the condition of the wall, the construction, the size and the location all determine the production time. Because we carry out the entire production process in-house — harvesting, dyeing, preservation and finishing — we can plan tight deadlines and make adjustments at short notice. You’ll receive a reliable timeline with the design.
Can I install a Moss wall myself?
Yes, smaller formats come ready for installation on backing boards and can be hung just like a picture. For large surfaces, custom shapes and ceiling installations, our own team takes care of the fitting — throughout Europe, usually within a day.
Will I receive any samples in advance?
Yes. The sample box brings all types of moss into your home for you to feel, including a colour chart. For project sampling requiring larger samples, we’ll put together exactly what your project needs on request.
Where can I buy a Moss wall?
Direct from the manufacturer. We manufacture in Oppach in Oberlausitz and deliver throughout Europe — there are no middlemen for bespoke orders. You can therefore order a Moss wall via a personal consultation or the LIFE BOOK; ready-made Moss pictures in standard sizes, on the other hand, can be purchased directly from our online shop. If you only need materials: you can also buy real moss from us in a Sample box so you can feel it for yourself.
How much does a bespoke Moss wall cost?
Bespoke Moss walls start at around €400 per m², whilst projects typically start at around €3,000. The price is determined by the surface area, type of moss, relief depth and installation requirements — our cost guide explains exactly how we work out the figures.
Will a moss wall work in a hallway or a bathroom?
Yes. Windowless corridors are actually a typical place to use them, as preserved moss does not need light. Bathrooms and damp areas are also suitable, provided there is adequate ventilation and moderate humidity; the only thing to avoid is direct contact with water. An assessment of your room will be part of the consultation.
The next step is a conversation
Ten minutes is all it takes to get an honest assessment of the floor area, type of flooring and budget — with no obligation, no need for measurements, just a photo of your room.
