Moss pictures: The picture that you can touch.
A canvas depicts nature — a Moss picture is Nature: 100% genuine, deeply dyed moss in a handcrafted wooden frame – soft to the touch, soothing to the ear and maintenance-free for life. The smallest gateway into the world of MOOSMOOS — and often the start of an entire wall.

The honest question is: Should your wall do something show — or something to be? Prints and canvases depict nature. A Moss picture made from real, preserved moss brings them into the room: with texture, tactile quality and a depth of colour that never fades to grey — we stand by that Lifetime colour and freshness guarantee. And because the structure absorbs sound, there’s also a small sound absorber hanging on your wall.
Moss Pictures buy
The standard sizes are available ready for dispatch in the online boutique — ranging from small sizes up to 300 × 200 cm, as well as round pictures measuring 50 to 100 cm in diameter, and heart- and oval-shaped ones. Framed in wood, reclaimed wood or mounted on a hard foam board. Choose the ‘Mooslinie’ range; you can see the rest in the shop.

Islandmoos
Soft areas of colour, a delicate texture — the most colour-intensive style in the range.

Pole Moss & Bun Moss
Spherical cushions with depth and shadow — the most three-dimensional effect, and the greatest sound absorption.

Pole Moss & forest moss
Upholstery meets surface: a serene combination for larger formats.

Plant moss
Moss with preserved plants — brings the picture to life, without a single drop of water.

Jungle moss
Dense foliage, plenty of movement — for rooms that can handle a bit of character.

Moss pattern
Colour gradients across the surface — from a deep forest green to a light moss green.
Rule of thumb: Off-the-shelf sizes → Shop. Your dimensions, your logo, your project → Consultancy.
The framed Moss picture
The classic — from desk size up to 200 × 200.
Iceland moss for colour and tranquillity, Pole Moss for sculptural, undulating landscapes, gradients for a smooth transition — all set in a handcrafted joiner’s frame. To find out which type of moss suits you best, take a look at the Encyclopaedia of Mosses; the most popular sizes are ready to post in the Online boutique.
Round moss pictures & moss circles
The organic form — on its own or as part of a composition.
The circle is the shape of nature: soft, serene, with no beginning and no end. As a large round moss picture it becomes the focal point of the room, as Moos Circles set for a freely arranged arrangement over the sofa, in the hallway or reception area — with flowers and hydrangeas, also serving as a bridge to the Flower wall.
Themes, Series & Large Formats
From a hummingbird to a wall-filling series of pictures.
The manufactory creates designs using moss: animals, maps, lettering, multi-part series and large-format pieces up to 200 × 200 — each piece hand-assembled to your design. For brands, there is the Moss picture with logo — and if the image is to fill the entire area, the Moss wall.
Two ways to Your moss picture

This is where MOOSMOOS began — with a Moss picture.
The manufactory’s first creations were Moss Pictures — today, our pictures hang everywhere from living rooms to the corporate foyer, crafted by around 70 colleagues in Oppach. The difference remains the same as it was on the very first day: Deep-dyed moss from our own dye works Instead of superficially finished imported goods, handcrafted joiner’s frames, Lifetime colour and freshness guarantee — and a structure which, incidentally, absorbs up to 60% of the sound (DIN EN ISO 354). What this means in everyday life is explained by the Testimonials and references.
Frequently asked questions to the Moss picture
How much does a Moss picture cost?
You can find ready-made formats with clear prices in the Online boutique — available to order immediately. We provide a clear breakdown of the costs for bespoke items in the design; the pricing methodology is explained in the Cost Guide.
Iceland moss or Pole Moss — which is right for me?
It all depends on the look you’re going for: Iceland moss adds colour and a delicate texture, whilst Pole Moss provides visual depth and the highest absorbency — many arrangements combine both. The characteristics are shown in the Encyclopaedia of Mosses.
How do I look after the picture?
Not at all: no watering, no light, no pruning. Anti-static and dust-repellent — it won’t need dusting for at least five years. The only thing it doesn’t like is being sprayed directly with water. The reason for this is explained by the Care Guide.
How long does it last — is there a guarantee?
Long-lasting, with a lifetime guarantee on colour and freshness. The deep-penetrating dye keeps the moss soft and ensures the colour remains stable. The reason why other pictures fade is explained by the Comparison Guide.
How is it hung up?
Just like a normal picture: ready to hang in a joiner’s frame, surprisingly light — standard hanging fixtures are sufficient. Our team can mount large formats on request.
Does that work in the bathroom as well?
Yes — a bathroom and sauna are fine, provided they are properly ventilated and the humidity remains moderate; high humidity actually keeps the moss particularly soft. The picture should not be placed directly in the shower, and splashes of water should be avoided. We’ll look at specific areas together during the consultation.
Can I make a Moss picture myself?
Can you — the difference lies in the material. With us: solid-coloured moss from our own dye works, carpenter-made frames, a lifetime guarantee. To get a feel for the material beforehand: the Sample box.
Are there any Moss Pictures featuring a company logo?
Yes — framed, removable, in your CI colours: the Moss picture with the logo for the reception area, meeting room and exhibition hall.
Where can I buy a Moss picture?
Directly from us — in two ways. Standard sizes are ready for dispatch in our online boutique and can be ordered straight away. Custom sizes, your own design or company logo are produced at our manufactory in Oppach; this requires a personal consultation.
Are Moss Pictures available in the size of your choice?
Yes. As well as standard formats, we can produce any size — rectangular, round, oval or in a custom shape. We can also produce runs for multiple sites, with a consistent design.
Can my logo be included in a Moss picture?
Yes, as an inlay in moss or as lettering. The deep dyeing process, carried out in our own dye works, allows us to match your brand’s specific colour. You can see what this looks like on the page featuring the moss logo.
